Classroom Behavior Rules

English 9R:  Ms. Michael and Ms. Stears

Copy the following classroom behavior rules:

1.  Be on time and ready to work WHEN THE BELL RINGS!!!!!

This does not mean wandering in as the bell is ringing.  This means in your seat and READY TO WORK!  The Do Now will be up and you should begin working without being reminded or prompted.

 

 

 

 

2.  DO NOT be disruptive IN ANY WAY.

This means no talking, whispering, joking, throwing things, goofing around, passing notes, etc.  We all know what the word "disruptive" means.  It is disturbing and RUDE.

 

 

 

 

3.  DO NOT be disrespectful IN ANY WAY.

This means to your classmates, your teacher, or yourself.  We all know what the word "disrespectful" means.

 

 

 

 

4.  PARTICIPATE FULLY in all activities.

This means no head down on the desk, feet up, notebook closed, daydreaming, etc.

 

 

 

 

5.  NO food in class!

This means zero food...no pop tarts, candy, cookies, etc.

 

 

 

 

6.  DO NOT get out of your seat during class unless instructed to do so.

This includes no trips to the garbage can with a microscopic piece of garbage.

 

 

 

 

7. NO PASSES the first and last ten minutes of class.

Passes will be given out very sparingly.  Do not ask for a pass to any location other than the bathroom or the nurse.  These will be granted on a case-by-case basis.

 

 

 

 

8.  NO hats, cell phones, ipods, etc.

This means these items should not be visible at all.  If you take out any of these items they will be given to your administrator and you parent or guardian will have to come in personally.
